GANG BANG was a compilation of multiple genre curated by Adrian Ho and Clement Teh 1in 1991 in Singapore.
In this was a 2 tracks record by Mortal Flower in 1 take. This means they play live into a mixer without multi-track recording.
CAPTIVITY AND THE BEAST was done in Lee Kwong Sheng Music Studio in Yishun which was generally a jam studio. Mr Lee the owner however, was also in the business of equipment rental and had a 12 channel mixer available to record acoustically what goes on in the studio. 3 Microphones was aimed at the drum set, one at the guitar amp and one at the base with Desmond belting right into the vocal amp and perhaps 1 stereo mic to capture the ambient exposure was all it took to record Mortal Flower's first 2 recording with the new line up of:
Vocals: DESMOND FOO
Guitars: RAZIN RAZOR
Bass: ADRIAN HO
Drum: SIMON HUI
This would be Mortal Flower's 2nd line up from their first EP "Bathing in The perspiration of my Inspiration" which was a recorded cassette tape.
Gang Bang too emerged as a cassette tape of 200 copies and were all sold out.
