The Raw Fish made up of Spike and Nicole was a duo conjured in the 1990's where they sold 10 cassette tape release. In a typical black and white photocopied design, The Raw Fish took the Singapore independent scene by surprise. Nobody could find them, while their 4 track Tascam awed the scene because not many people had this. Spike was rumoured to have auditioned for Mortal Flowers but decided to hang out with Nicole instead.

There was a social commentary immortalized by Lily Kong a local academic writing about local music in 1996 cited The Raw Fish on page 12.

This album however, has a new contrast to a very special sense of humour:

Has-been 80's musician types with no formal musical training, making an impossible comeback after all the rubber on the electric cords have gone gummy.
