OPIUM DOOM by VDT

VdT is a trio assuming the stage name of Verum , Datum and Tatum.
Recorded in Tenoji Osaka and Mongkok Hong Kong in the year 2015, the band could not decide if they were a jazz band or doom or just ambient. Influenced by the geographic surrounding they recorded the music, Opium Doom was realised. Verum concluded that being alienated and exclude by the environment of Japan and Hongkong, this exclusion created a slower pace of music that was an Oxymoron to the life style in both countries.

The opium was used as the central motif to fuel the concept of the album.
Opium seemingly a cure and a curse was seen as an oxymoron of how humans come to be.

Dark ambling notion of the music leaves the listener an a awrkward comfort of uncertainty.
A relief that embroils itself with an undersirable side effect which you consume a different medicine to alleviate.
